How the database is kept honest
Every one of the 312 rows in this database has been hand-keyed, hand-checked, and re-checked against a named printed source. We do not scrape. We do not paraphrase competitor sites. We do not generate pay tables from a model. When a row says it is full-pay 9/6 Jacks or Better, that row has been visually compared, denomination by denomination, to the chart on page 47 of Bob Dancer’s Winners’ Guide, to Jean Scott’s Frugal Video Poker appendix, and to the Wizard of Odds methodology page for the same variant.
If a machine in Reno or Sparks changes its pay schedule — and they do, usually quietly — the row is updated within the month by one of our 90+ volunteer reporters across 38 states, and the change is logged in the public revision history. If you spot a discrepancy between a row on this page and the machine in front of you, write to us. We’d rather hear about it than be wrong.
Four ways into the database

The only filter that matters for an advantage player. Toggle to full-pay only and the database collapses to the schedules that return 99.5% or better with optimal play — 9/6 JoB, 10/7 Double Bonus, FPDW, and the rest of the short list.

For the skeptical reader
The pay-table database has not gone more than 30 days without a row-level edit since February 2007. Revision history is public, timestamped, and attributable to a named reporter. This is the longest-running free public video poker pay-table database on the web.
Reporters are unpaid, named on the contributor roll, and bound by a submission protocol that requires a photograph of the machine’s glass plus the printed pay schedule from the casino’s own marketing sheet. Reports are cross-checked against a second reporter within the same state before a row is updated.
Every full-pay row is verified against the published reference work and the Wizard’s online methodology page. If the three sources disagree — it happens, especially on bonus variants — we publish all three and flag the disagreement in the row’s gutter note.
